Time Management Is Reality Management!


In Latin you would say “Ordo ab chao” = “order to chaos”; and most of us struggle with trying to make this a reality.

Father Mike Schmitz makes a very good point about this and I would like to share it with all of you before we continue.


I don’t know about you but when the discussion of time management came up before I was sick, I would procrastinate. Now because time management is key to being able to live a full life with my illness, I don’t have that luxury. Unfortunately, it usually leaves me feeling like this:


So as far as practical ways to help me manage time I have compiled a list:

  • Binder Systems   help you organize your thoughts and write things down.
  • Cozi App (You and your family can add to shopping lists, calanders, to do lists all for free)
  • Bible Study Apps such as: Laudate, Holy Bible app, and millions others

This is just some of the ways you can help yourself with time management. Remember, its okay if you need extra help from a life coach or maybe a physical therapist. The effort is more important than the circumstance. It is important to make time for God in one way or another and ask him to help you to manage your time; when you surrender your reality to God, you make a great step in your walk with Christ.

Home Making with Fibro

This is super intimidating for me. I have to admit when I was diagnosed I had already been dealing with the pain for a while. However, the depression that comes with the pain caused me to become apathetic to my whole situation. I ignored everything and everyone I cared about. I wasn’t sure how to do deal with the pain and I struggled with accepting that I was always going to be hurting.

However when readjusting to life I realized that my house isn’t going to clean itself. Not that my husband has not picked up a TON of the slack but still. My husband have a division of chores that worked for us. But when I got sick every time I would get up to clean I would get overwhelmed.

^^Not me but pretty much sums up me every time  I would try to tackle my house since climbing out of this depression.

But I have a standard to meet and I have to adjust it so that I can still be the best wife possible without giving in to this depression.

But God tells us in Psalm 73:26

26 My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak,
but God remains the strength of my heart;
he is mine forever.
So with that amazing motivation I decided to get practical!
I chose to create a Home Management Binder that would be perfect for some one like me:
Here are the Printables and Recommendations:
  • Get yourself a Columnar Pad. It costs about $10 at Walmart, but when you divide that by 12 it is cheaper than any printables with the price of ink and it allows for you plenty of room. Click here to purchase!

  • It should be kept simple! Do not overload it. You are better off creating a separate binder or that continuously adding to the Home Management binder. The Following Should be kept in binder.

I make attempts to stock pile and use coupons. Due to Fibrofog I tend to forget what I have and don’t. This will help me keep track and fight the fog!

I did Field Better Soon


So normally I am not one with buying soaps, or any kind of wellness product that I can not make myself. I am so grateful to my friend Mel for convincing me to try this soap. I give it five stars and it was worth the money I paid for it.

I suffer from panic attacks and this soap has so much lavender, I actually began to feel better when I turned on the shower. The whole bathroom quickly filled up with the smell and it was calming and intoxicating. I prefer a boiling hot showers (its one of my favorite luxuries in life), and so as the water began to hit my skin and open my pores I started to calm down.

I am not saying this is good for a panic attack every time. However, I will say that as soon as I got out the shower I was calm. I give it five stars and I just had to share with all of you. This product does work for minor panic attacks in my opinion. It will help you de-stress and wash that awful day off of you.

Rose, coconut, grapeseed, hot oil treatment!

Yes I was very excited when it finally came time to turn the roses from my honey to make rose water.  (Click here for instructions)

Anyways on to the directions

2 Tablespoons of coconut oil

2 tablespoons of Grape seed oil

1 tablespoon of Rose Water

1 teaspoon of honey

2 drops olive oil

2 drops tea tree oil

2 drops lavender oil

Do all of your liquid in a bowl. and then add coconut oil

Microwave for 60 seconds

  It will look like this. It is enough for approx. 4-7 hair treatments depending on hair type. The mixture is good for a bout a week. Dry storage, do not refrigerate.


Mini-Pilgrimage St. Patricks NYC


This is not St. Patrick’s. This is another Catholic church down town. It is what inspired me to go. You see I go to this part of the city at least four times a year for the last seven years and I had never been so I was inspired to take a stroll…

While visiting NYC last week I was able to take my self on a date. Maybe it is just me but I enjoy the time. I had some where to be at 12:30 and was in the city by 9 am. So I figured I would just go exploring. One of my adventures that day was a MINI-Pilgrimage to St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

It was absolutely AMAZING and BREATH Taking. My experience was somber having to get my bad search in the church was a sobering experience for me. It is a sad world that we live in. When I did get a chance to just enjoy this old space and pray I felt a presence that I feel in every church. I do feel though that each space has its own feeling with a touch of the Holy Spirit. If you get a chance GO!

Bathroom Cleaner!


(I  <3 that my monogrammed towels made it into the picture!)

So this is my recipe for DIY Bathroom cleaner. It is very concentrated and will still needed to be kept away from kids. However if you remove bleach and use baking soda instead of washing soda you have solved that problem.

DIY Bathroom Cleaner:  


  • 2 TBS of Washing (or baking) Soda
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider (or white) Vineagar
  •   4 TBS of Peroxide
  • 2 good squeezes of BLUE Dawn
  •  2 TBS of Witch Hazel
  • 1/4 cup Bleach
  • 2 TBS Lemon Juice
  • 2 TBS of Rubbing Alcohol

Keeping it Interesting!

With Hubby being gone 5 and ½ days out of the week and with him always being tired it is hard sometimes to even get in the mood. It ends up being we get into bed kiss and before we know it we are asleep. So because of his exhaustion, I try to keep him entertained! 😉  I have spoken to other women who feel the same way as I do, “IF I don’t feel sexy, he’s not getting any”.  Honestly though like most women we try to make our husbands happy (and in a full consenting way) we still do it and not enjoy it.


Oh and that’s my cat Chewy! He was too lazy to move.

That is why keep things interesting is so important! Listen ladies, most men do not care what sexy outfit you have on. They see the sexy outfit and think “YES! She is gonna get naked!!!” One thing I love to do to keep things interesting is to buy lingerie. I purchased this piece from  https://www.3wishes.com.. The reason I like to buy lingerie is because of how it makes me feel. My husband says “it’s a floor decoration” , but  I digress. When I put this outfit on it made me feel sexy and that definitely is a mood booster. Another thing I really liked about this piece is that it was easily concealed under my sweatpants and t-shit. Half the fun is the surprise!!! It was a great piece that hubby says we will use again!

I do have some tips if you do decide to go this route.

  1. Remember the outfit is for you not him!
  2. Never put lingerie in dryer! (NEVER! Seriously the underwire is not designed the sames as pieces like this for you to wear all day. You will break it and the under wire will poke you)
  3. Also sites like 3wishes.com, offer all kinds of products. I Like a babydoll because I am self-conscious about my belly. You may want a long teddy because you feel more comfortable.  Buy what you look good in!
  4. It is okay to take his taste into consideration! With the piece I got, I got the type of underwear he likes. Its for you, but he should enjoy it too.
  5. It is okay to want to keep the Romance and is its healthy for you to want to enjoy yourself.
  6. Try new things!!!!!

For my sensitive teeth peep!

So after my post yesterday (you can view here), one of my friends said that they could not eat lemons because of their sensitive teeth. Here are some other things you can do that are preventive medicine that work as well as the lemon water!

 So when I am getting sick I make this side dish. It is a big hit and its a big immune booster. Broccoli has more vitamin C than orange juice and this recipe is delish and keeps you well.

1 head of broccoli
3 cloves of garlic (at least I love garlic so the more the better but not everyone feels that way)
2 tablespoons of pepper.
half a stick of butter (a whole stick if you are like me and Mrs. Paula Dean).
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 table spoons of balsamic vinegar
1 tbs of rosemary
1 tbs basil
1 tbs thyme
 Cook your broccoli 3 quarters of the way melt butter and mix in vinegar garlic and oil and spices. Add it to the butter sauce and let it finish cooking.
This site will help everyone find alternatives.  It also contains info on broccoli so you know I am not just bsing you! If you can eat this at least once a day for three days it will do you a lot of good. More if you can stomach it.
